Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple Is hidden away in the mountains of Arashiyama, Kyoto. The temple is famous for its collection of 1200 unique and whimsical statues. These statues that represent Buddha’s disciples, were each carved by a different person, making them completely unique in there poses and expressions!
The temple was relatively empty and is a great place to escape the crowds when visiting Kyoto.
