Pakistani nationals in fear as India downgrades diplomatic ties after Pahalgam terror attack

Following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India announced a series of strong measures in response, including the abeyance of the Indus Waters Treaty "with immediate effect, until Pakistan credibly and irreversibly abjures its support for cross-border terrorism." On April 24, Pakistani residents voiced criticism over India’s decision to downgrade diplomatic ties in the wake of a recent Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir. Many called the move rash, warning it could escalate tensions across the region. In Karachi, Muhammad Shams declared that Pakistan remains united and unshaken by India's accusations, pointing to strong national borders and capable defense forces.
