Gavial's tribe believes strength is the key to survival, and Gavial was one of their strongest warriors. But after Gavial was infected with oripathy, the tribe began to treat her as an invalid, incapable of fighting anymore. So she beat up everyone. Then she left to find a cure to her illness. She learned a lot about medicine on her journey, including that there was no cure for oripathy. Passing through a small town, she heard rumors of a vampire kidnapping children. The vampire was Rhodes Island Dr Warfarin, who was collecting blood samples from the infected townsfolk, but was having trouble (being a vampire and all). Impressed by her unique skills etc, Dr Warfarin and Dr Kal'tsit recruited Gavial to the medical staff at Rhodes Island, where she has a reputation for beating up her patients. The vocalist for All Hail Savior is Adrienne Cowan of the band Seven Spires.
