Australia Post reforms to create ‘strong foundation’ on a ‘pathway to profitability’
Australia Post CEO Paul Graham says the postal service has spent the last few years talking to the government about the “urgency” of granting them reforms.
Australia Post will now be delivering posts every two days with an extra day for regional and interstate deliveries.
“We’ve spent the last few years really talking to the government … about the urgency of granting us the first phase of reform,” Mr Graham said.
He says this is so Australia Post can “start to take those steps to minimise those losses” and “invest in our parcel business”.
“And create that strong foundation on a pathway to profitability.”
