A major fake recruitment scam has been exposed in Pune where unemployed youth were allegedly cheated in the name of government jobs. According to RTI activist Vijay Kumbhar, the accused operated the racket in a highly organised manner and falsely claimed to have links with senior municipal officials.

Complaints have reportedly been filed against Shivanand Patil, Namita Bansode and Rajendra Khedekar. To make the scam appear genuine, interviews were allegedly conducted at a restaurant near the municipal corporation office, making candidates believe the recruitment process was official.

In one shocking case, a student reportedly paid ₹45 lakh in exchange for a promised government job. Victims were allegedly handed fake appointment letters, work orders and training documents after collecting huge sums of money from them. The case has triggered outrage among job seekers and raised serious questions over recruitment fraud targeting unemployed youth.
