Cooking with the Wicked Witch – Haunted Pumpkin Soup & Spooky Camping Adventure | #StealthHalloweenChallenge2025
Welcome, my dark darlings… 🧙♀️✨
For the #StealthHalloweenChallenge2025 by the #StealthCampingAlliance, I, the Wicked Witch, am trading my broomstick for a cooking spoon!
Join me and my little ghostly companion Poefi (spooky, a very bad ghost 👻) as we fly to a hidden forest edge — an old, half-broken horse shelter turned haunted kitchen.
With wild winds and a touch of rain, it’s the perfect night for brewing a magical potion: Halloween Pumpkin Soup with Spiders!
Watch as I conjure this wicked recipe in a very improvised outdoor kitchen. When the soup is ready, night falls… I set up my cozy cocoon tent, light a campfire, sip a red Duvel (Devil), and read from my ancient spell book — the very one that “contained” the recipe. 🔮
After a night full of cackles and creeping shadows, morning comes with a witchy breakfast: yogurt with blue eyeballs. Deliciously dreadful!
Then, with one last abracadabra, everything vanishes — because even witches follow the rule of #LeaveNoTrace.
Fly along for spooky vibes, stealth camping magic, and a dash of wicked humor.
Stay tuned till the end — you might just turn into a frog. 🐸

🕯️ Halloween Pumpkin Soup with Spiders 🕷️
Ingredients for the potion:
- 1 small pumpkin (heart of Halloween)
- 1 small celeriac (roots of the earth)
- 2 red bell peppers (re devil pepper)
- 2 onions (2 crying onions)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 liters of water (about 2 quarts / 8½ cups)
- 4 vegetable broth cubes (for a spell of flavor)
- Cloves, bay leaves
- A pinch of cayenne pepper, paprika powder, pepper, salt
- Olive oil or butter (witch’s brew base)
For the creepy little spiders:
- 300 g ground spider meat (pork and/or beef are also fine)
- Some spaghetti (for the spider legs)
🧙♀️ How to brew your Halloween potion:
- Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut it into rough pieces.
- Peel the celeriac and cut it into chunks as well.
- Cut the bell peppers, remove the seeds, and chop them into pieces.
- Peel the onions and garlic cloves (beware of tears from the crying onions!), then chop them finely.
- Heat your cauldron (or pot) over the fire with a little olive oil or butter.
- When the butter has melted or the oil is warm, add the onions and let them sizzle gently until soft.
- Add the garlic and stir for another moment.
- Add the pumpkin, celeriac, and bell peppers — let them stew together for a short while.
- Pour in the water and add the broth cubes.
- Season with cloves, pepper, salt, a pinch of cayenne pepper, paprika powder, and bay leaves.
- While your potion simmers, prepare the spiders: roll the ground meat into small balls and poke a few pieces of uncooked spaghetti into each one to make spooky legs.
- Let the soup boil gently for about 20 minutes.
- Remove the bay leaves and cloves — they’ve done their magic — then blend the soup until smooth.
- Add the spider meatballs to the cauldron and let them cook for another 10 minutes until tender.
Taste your brew… and hope you don’t turn into a frog! 🐸✨
