Pompey's Pillar National Monument (Flashback 2014)

From the famed Lewis and Clark expedition, William Clark inscribed his name and the date (July 25, 1806) on the northeastern face of this huge rock formation high above the Yellowstone River. It is the only surviving physical evidence known to remain along the route of the explorers. We visited this site as a family in the summer of 2014.
