Make a Simple Bed Upgrade for the K40 Laser Engraver

The K40 laser engraver is a great low cost solution if you want to start laser cutting as a hobby, but it does need some upgrades to get the most out of it- one of the things it needs is an adjustable bed.

I already changed out the mirrors, lens and added an air assist, but the last major upgrade needed was a more dependable adjust able bed for the laser to accommodate for different material thicknesses.

The small surgical scissor lift works well, but it does have a small surface area. With my upgrade, I can adjust the bed without putting my arm in the laser and can make dynamic adjustments while the laser is working, although I do not entirely recommend this.

Overall, the upgrade works well, but I still might have to make some small adjustments for the future.
