We made a custom low cost board and batten bed for my overgrown son!

My son has needed a bed upgrade for quite some time since he has outgrown his old one. The goal was to create the bedframe in a board and batten style with some low cost materials- primarily 1x3's and 1/8' luan plywood.

The bed also needed some storage, so there are 3 oversized drawers built into the bottom of the bed.

The bed is primarily assembled with pocket screws at the corners and also for some of the interior structure of the bed that helps to give it some more rigidity.
