On average, people have to wait three to five years to receive a new kidney. Erik Gatenholm wants to create a world where organ transplants and lists are not a thing anymore. In his TEDx talk, he asks the question: "why does the life have to depend on the end of another life?"
Erik Gatenholm is the CEO and co-founder of the bioprinting company Cellink. The company focuses on the development and commercialization of bioprinting technologies that allow researchers to 3D print human organs and tissues for the development of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

Gatenholm has been rewarded with numerous remarkable rewards, such as Forbes 30 under 30, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Innovator of the Year.
