The Waltons started with a Christmas story - The Homecoming. Over the 9 seasons we did several Christmas episodes including this one - The Best Christmas - from Season 5. Olivia (Michael Learned) wants to gather the whole family this one last time before they move on with their lives. John-Boy (Richard Thomas) John (Ralph Waite) Mary Ellen (Judy Norton) and the rest of the Walton kids.
As the family attempts to get to the Walton house for Christmas Eve, they are all delayed by circumstances beyond their control.
