Lincoln Walk: City Centre【4K】

We take a tour of the historical city of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, UK. The city was first garrisoned in the 1st century AD by the Romans, where it went by the name Lindum Colonia.

There is plenty of history in the architecture of the city - particularly Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral, both consecrated in the 11th century. Other notable buildings include Jew's House (6:28), built in the 12th Century and one of the oldest town houses still standing in England, and Leigh-Pemberton House (9:43), a genuine timber-framed Tudor house built in 1543.

The walk starts on Waterside South adjacent to the river Witham, and proceeds down Lincoln High Street, leading to the famous aptly named Steep Hill. This in turn takes us to Castle Hill, where we find to the west Lincoln Castle, and to the east Lincoln Cathedral.
