The Aemet has activated the red level on Friday due to the forecast of heavy snowfall in several areas of the communities of Madrid, including its capital, and Castilla-La Mancha. This is the first time that this level of snow alert has been activated in Madrid.

M-40, M-30 cut off and the airport closed

The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has announced a retention of black level in sections of the M-40 where several cars have cut circulation because they cannot go through the snow caused by the storm Filomena, as there have been traffic jams on the M-30, which has prevented the exit to the M-607, towards Colmenar from the inner road, and between the North junction and Manoteras junction, in both directions.

The cuts due to snow accumulation have affected access to the A-3 from the M-30 northbound and, from 7:00 p.m., to the exit to the M-607 towards Colmenar, and between the North junction and Manoteras junction , in both directions, as reported by the Town Hall Mobility Management Center.

La Comunidad de Madrid está viviendo una de las nevadas de las que pocos recuerdan. Se prevé que en total se acumulen casi 20 centímetros de nieve, la AEMET ha definido este viernes uno de los capítulos “más extensos” registrados en los últimos años causados por la borrasca atlántica Filomena.

Además, desde esta tarde Madrid se encuentra en alerta roja por fuertes nevadas. El alcalde de Madrid José Luis Martínez Almeida ha pedido en un tweet escrito pidiendo a la gente no salga a la calle. "Es importante que no se salga a la calle desde esta tarde. La situación en las calles no es buena", ha reconocido el alcalde del Consitorio madrileño.
Cortadas la M-40, M-30 y cerrado el aeropuerto

La Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) ha anunciado una retención de nivel negro en tramos de la M-40 donde varios coches han cortado la circulación debido a que no pueden pasar por la nevada provocada por la borrasca Filomena, al igual que ha habido embotellamientos en la M-30, en la que se ha impedido la salida a la M-607, sentido Colmenar desde la calzada interior, y entre el nudo Norte y nudo Manoteras, en ambos sentidos.

Los cortes por acumulación de nieve han afectado al acceso a la A-3 desde la M-30 en sentido norte y, desde las 19 horas, a la salida a la M-607 en sentido Colmenar, y entre el nudo Norte y nudo Manoteras, en ambos sentidos, según ha informado el Centro de Gestión de la Movilidad del Consistorio.

La Aemet ha activado hoy viernes el nivel rojo por la previsión de fuertes nevadas en varias zonas de las comunidades de Madrid, entre ellas su capital, y de Castilla-La Mancha. Se trata de la primera vez en que se activa este nivel de alerta por nieve en Madrid.
