Guy Deacon's Parkinson's Journey - Stuck in Gabon

Retired British Army officer Colonel Guy Deacon has now reached Gabon in is epic attempt to drive from Freetown in Sierra Leone to Cape Town in South Africa to highlight the challenges posed by Parkinson's Disease. Guy was diagnosed with the condition in 2011 and he's hoping to raise its profile in Africa where many people with it are treated with suspicion and struggle to receive any treatment. In this latest update he tells Rory Cellan-Jones about more nightmares with his VW van which has needed a second new clutch and is currently out of action with its suspension broken. The good news is that his mission to explain Parkinson’s is going well with frequent appearances on local media. He and Rory also share their frustrations about extracting their Parkinson's pills from childproof packets.
