Johnny Black (aka. John Black) is a living punkrock legend from New York, USA! He started in clubs like the CBGB and in 1990 he released an album as JOHNNY BLACK EXPERIENCE on a small underground label. Together with the well-known actor Michael Imperioli (best known for his role in The Sopranos) he was performing the show WHO KILLED JOHNNY THUNDERS? and with Walter Lure (Johnny Thunders And The Heartbreakers) he recorded two songs. During the last years John Black was so busy playing shows that releasing his already finished album was not his focus. This seems strange due to the high quality of the recordings, produced by Daniel Rey who is best known for his work with The Ramones, Gang Green, Misfits or Masters Of Reality („Sunrise On The Sufferbus“ album). The transparent yet powerful sound fits perfect to the songs that can be described as punkrock mixed with classic rock and garage.
