Mark Unpacks the Super Elastic Signal Stick at altitude

Just trying out the Super Elastic Signal Stick from signalstuff.com.

For powered paragliding this is probably the best simple antenna solution I've seen yet for those of us combining ham and PPG activities.

I wasn't able to chat with anyone using it that day but that was probably due to no one being on the repeaters.
I was at 3000 feet and was able to key a repeater 100 miles away but it sounded scratchy coming in so it's also possible no one could understand me.
I then tried to reach someone at a repeater around 60 miles away. The response tones were clearer but the person I was trying tor reach was probably not monitoring the repeater.
