Air Force Staffer Arrested For Spying And Leaking Sensitive Information To Pakistan | Assam
Rajasthan Intelligence announced on Sunday (March 22, 2026) that a civilian employee stationed at an Indian Air Force station in Assam had been arrested for allegedly spying and disclosing private information to Pakistani handlers. The investigation started in January 2026 when a suspect from Jaisalmer was arrested. This led to the identification of Sumit Kumar, a 36-year-old Uttar Pradesh native who is currently assigned as a multi-tasking staff (MTS) at the Air Force Station in Chabua, Dibrugarh. The accused is suspected of using social media platforms to gather and disseminate private information about Air Force stations, such as the whereabouts of fighter aircraft, missile systems, and people.
