I was really happy when my son, Zac, started showing an interest in playing guitar. As you can imagine, I have a nice guitar or two kicking around the house that he can play, but Zac had reached a point where he wanted his own.

What I quickly discovered is that there were a few things I needed to keep in mind during the search, not least of which was: "This is a guitar for my son, not for me!".
