BUILDING CHORDS (Easy Music Theory You Probably Don't Know - The Cycle of thirds)

In this building chords and guitar chord construction theory video we dive Into A SUPER EASY method, (for all instruments actually...) to enable YOU to understand and memorize and even extend triads by using the "The Cycle Of Thirds" In Music Theory.

You'll learn that this easy music theory mnemonic you probably don't know will enable you to build chords instantly in your head! This is a little discussed gem for helping you to understand chord construction music theory, clefs and harmony, chord extensions, triad superimposition (gulp! not in this lesson lol)

I'm soooo surprised the cycle of 3rds doesn't get as much attention as the cycle of 5ths or cycle of 4ths as it is of equal value. It will help you to understand chords within the key! You'd be daft not to consider watching this video ;)

The cycle of 5ths is great for understanding key and the movement of chords in a progression and for changing key. But, in those keys are the chords! So by understanding the cycle of 3rds you have more control over the chord voicings in those progressions.
