3 Mind HACKS to Punch UNBELIEVABLY Faster like Bruce Lee!

Everything that you want to do starts with the mind. Even punching faster and harder. Before you blame your poor hand speed on your size, undeveloped muscles, or not knowing Bruce Lee's secrets to punching faster, you need to analyse your own mindset.

Some of best martial artists and fighters of all time, like Bruce Lee, knew the importance of emptying your mind for speed development for punching.

Hack #1 You Must Train Quickness of Mind to Punch Faster

The most important mindset you must have to punch faster is to focus on awareness. You have to be alert.

Forget about hand speed for now, I’m talking about pure quickness of mind. An empty mind reacts faster. Thinking about punching slows you down.

There should be no hesitation when throwing your punch. Train to quickly recognise a target, and signal your arm to move without thinking about punching.

Basically, don’t think, just do! That way, you are moving faster because you are not building up. You’re going on the G of the GO.
Hack #2 Relax into the Punch

Moving around with a clenched fist adds an extra layer of mental tension, which we want to avoid.

The ONLY way to move at your fastest speed is to be RELAXED physically and mentally! The most relaxed muscle has the most potential for moving at maximum speed.

So how you can you “relax” for a faster punch? Well, firstly don’t tighten your fist all the time. Instead keep your hands relaxed and tighten them into fists only when you are ready to throw your punch.

Keep your shoulders loose and relaxed instead of hunched. Don’t flex your biceps or tighten any other part of your body before the punch. Including the lower half of your body, although I do like to coil my legs to add more spring into my punches.
Smooth is fast. A relaxed body will punch faster!
