The City College Art Balls: 1927 to 1947
Sponsored by the Sacramento Public Library and the Sacramento Art Deco Society, historian Bruce Marwick presents the magic and splendor that was the Sacramento Junior College Art Balls. Wonderful narrative and a pleasing assortment of images highlight this terrific presentation that provides a plumbline through the nation's highs of the late-1920s, lows of the Great Depression and victory during World War II. The talk was held on January 26, 2020, at Central Library in Sacramento, California.
