To me, this watch really shows Certina’s strength. This has always been a brand of evolution, not revolution. They make excellent quality watches for a good price.
The DS-system is also worth mentioning. Nowadays things like water-resistance feel very common in watches. But 60 years ago, this wasn’t the case. Certina invented the DS – or double security – system that protects the watch. This system has really proven its worth and although I won’t get into the real details here, it is really worthwhile mentioning because it just gives what the name Certina promises: certainty.

Why I chose it
The combination of good looks, solid engineering and sharp pricing really offers a package that doesn’t get much better below a thousand euros. It is therefore one great watch to start your collection with.
It gives you all the pleasure of a mechanical movement, the accuracy and quality of a Swiss watch and the looks of a real luxury piece.
