Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Pro - An Overweighted Configuration

Star Adventurer Pro playlist of my related videos: https://tinyurl.com/dp-SAproSeries

I recently decided to explore astrophotography as an extension of my photography hobby, only to buy a star tracking mount a bit too quickly, not realizing that for whatever is the rated maximum payload capacity, the actual working capacity should not exceed about 50-60% of the maximum. I had chosen to buy the Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Pro rated for an 11-lb. payload, yet my Nikon D850 DSLR with Sigma 150-600m Contemporary Zoom lens with other items weighs close to 9 lbs., or about 3.5 lbs. over what I should have limited myself to. This video shows my configuration, talks to the changes I made to try and optimize it for the best results possible in spite of this weight, and also mentions a few tips on how to improve on a few issues with the Star Adventurer Pro. With the changes I've made, there are still challenges, but I have managed to capture photo sets of 2.5-minute exposures free of star trails, so I hope this allows me to get some good use from the tracker until it wears out or I simply choose to upgrade to a more robust, quality mount.
