Sutton Place is a cul-de-sac community, an East River enclave, which has been home to the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Freddie Mercury, Aristotle Onassis, Joan Crawford, I. M. Pei, Maureen O'Hara, Sigourney Weaver, Kenneth Cole, Bill Blass, Vanderbilts & Morgans. The official residence for the Secretary-General of the United Nations is also in Sutton Place.
