Increasing protein especially as we get into our 50s can be key!
As we get older we are less able to utilize protein as efficiently, which means increasing our protein intake is key if we want to not only maintain but even build strength and muscle.
Losing muscle as we get older puts us at greater risk for injury and is also often why we feel our metabolism slows down and it is so much harder to lose weight.
