Global biodiversity, extinction and de extinction

What does the extinction of species mean for life on earth? We have the technology to save them, but should we? At what cost? Should we bring back already extinct animals while we’re at it? Experts in ecology, evolutionary genetics, computational biology and conservation discuss.

Bodil Elmhagen is Associate professor in Ecology at the Department of Zoology, Stockholm University

Peter Savolainen is Associate Professor in Evolutionary Genetics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm

Jens Lagergren is a professor in computer science and computational biology at CB (the Computational Biology department) at CSC, KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Marco Lambertini, Director General of WWF International
