The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies from my childhood. My sister and I were obsessed with it (we are Tim Burton fans). I remember browsing eBay a lot with my sister for NBC merch. At that time the movie was still owned by Touchstone, so there were little to no NBC merchandise available, so anything NBC was a rarity. But it all changed after Disney bought it ;). Aaah…memories...

Why do I use two different types of resin in my projects?
I use a casting resin to cast and a doming resin for doming.
Casting resin is usually low in viscosity and works very well in molds without much issue with the bubbles. Also the low viscosity will allow the resin to reach detailed area of the mold. Doming resin is thick in viscosity and holds its shape very nicely. It creates a full dome and tends to hold the surface tension much better than low viscosity resin. So lower risk of the resin dripping off the sides. It also gives the piece a smooth, flawless finish.
