‘Mattress Mack’ Opens Furniture Stores as Overnight Shelters
America is experiencing a deep freeze. At least 26 people have died as a result of the winter blast hitting much of the country with snow, ice and bone chilling cold. In Texas, millions are still without power. A furniture store owner known as “Mattress Mack” generously opened two stores in Houston as overnight shelters. Families forced from their homes slept on the floor samples with price tags still on them.
