**Emergency Landing!** Cracked Windshield on American Airlines 738 Forces DCA Landing - With ATC!

*Please read the description*

First off, my sincerest apologies for the shakiness. I had been spotting for a couple hours in near freezing temperatures and was really starting to feel it by the time the emergency occurred. My tripod was damaged and would jerk downward if I put too much pressure on it (as seen during touchdown). At the time, I was unsure which arrival was the emergency which led to some scrambling to capture the video. I promise my camera work is not usually this shoddy! :)

In case you are wondering, I have not been able to find any information about this flight (AAL40) other than what was said in air traffic control communications and displayed on the FlightAware report. The flight was apparently only about 30 minutes into its flight to Chicago (ORD) before the windshield cracked and it turned around. I have no information as to how it cracked or whether it presented a pressurization problem. I'm assuming it was mostly a non-issue because of the relative calm of both the pilots and controllers as well as the safe landing. If you do happen to find anything, please leave a comment!
