Ten Metre Walks: Ep 13 - A (nearly) temperate rainforest near Bristol

Recorded back in August, it's been a while getting this one out! I hit up a new favourite spot near Bristol, the woods of Bourton Combe. Within a steep gulley the environemnt suddenly becomes moist and damp, mosses, bryophytes, and ferns grow thick. Could this be a patch of the UK's rare temperate rainforest?

Welcome to Ten Metre Walks, where I select 10m of anything anywhere and try to make it look swish on film! The concept was born after I figured it would be a good exercise to try and make a video with restricted parameters. I thought it'd make a decent vlog topic where I could chat about the successes and failures of this process, and learn a bit about filming and nature along the way.
Parameters:
10m stretch of environment
1 hour
One camera
3 lenses (now 5!)
Tripod.
Hopefully through these videos you see a progression in my filmmaking, storytelling, and ability to adapt to these conditions. Remember it is an exercise so the outcome is more often than not pretty rubbish - but we're all here to have a laugh and learn a thing or two.
Filmed on Panasonic Lumix GH5Edited in FCPX
Filmed in Bourton Combe, Somerset.
