Story line:
" Richard and I raced at great speed across the snow-white winter plain. My fingers held tightly to the handrail of the sledge in which I sat, so as not to fly out at the turn. In front of me, 16 beautiful and strong Malamutes ran and pulled the team playfully. It was noticeable that for them this trip was more fun than work. A dog sled and a sled in the back was the only vehicle in the area that could take you anywhere. I've heard about the "end of the world" before, but only now I understand the meaning of this expression. There was a smile on my face from admiration for the nature that surrounded us. The rays of the sun shone brightly and reflected on a perfectly flat snowy surface. In the distance, at the foot of the mountain, about 10 kilometers away, the outskirts of the forest were visible, where the village to which we were heading was located. In this village, a week ago, we rented 2 small wooden houses to spend Christmas there with our families. But it so happened that the Cessna plane, which could take us from the nearest airport to our village, lacked two seats. Richard and I decided that our wives and children would take the first flight, and we would take the other flight. Our families successfully flew out and reached the village. But later it turned out that the flight that Richard and I were waiting for was canceled for unknown reasons. The next plane was supposed to fly only after 3 days. This option did not suit us, since tomorrow was already Christmas, and on this day we had to be with our families. Therefore, we decided to rent a sleigh ride pulled by a dog sled. The distance from the airport to the village was about 30 kilometers, we planned to cover this distance in about 5 hours, including stops to feed the dogs. Thanks to the excellent weather, after 4 hours we arrived at the village. The village looked like in a fairy tale. Two dozen decorated wooden houses, surrounded by a dense pine forest with beautiful views of the mountains and the plains. It was the best place I've ever been. Our joy knew no bounds, as we got there and will be able to see our families. Richard went to his house and I to mine. When I entered the house, happy children and my wife met me on the threshold. The house smelled of baked goods and other delicious food. A fireplace was burning by the window, and near it stood a small Christmas tree, not yet decorated. In order not to break the tradition, the children were waiting for me to decorate it with toys together. Later, we decorated the Christmas tree, and then we all celebrated Christmas together. We spent the rest of the holiday week in the countryside, enjoying this beautiful and magical place. It was one of the best vacations of my life!
