The Art of Misunderstanding "Moral Grounding"

Former detective J. Warner Wallace has used his retirement years to show us how many things his police experience did not make him good at. In fact it seems the only thing he IS good at is formatting his name to make himself sound like a fantasy author.

Now of course we all know he's as good at ancient textual criticism as you'd expect a retired detective to be. But did you know he's also an absolute disaster at understanding morality? If not, watch today as I respond to his presentation explaining how morality has to be "grounded" in levels of authority (with a chart and everything!) and how the highest ultimate authority must be God. It's as bad as you think, but it's very interesting, because he very explicitly lays out how a lot of Christian fundamentalists think about morality, in the process giving little hints that he deep down understands how morality actually works.
