Make 4 additional squares, or enough whose length strung together equals the circumference of your head +1-2 inches of ease.
Make 1 additional and final square of the same style, possibly including an extra round for the top piece of hat. The description is too long for me to include last round :(
Assembly: *watch video working in preferred color) Single crochet the first 5 squares together in a line. Then, single crochet the larger top square to the top side of the line you just created perpendicularly, being careful to spread the length of the line of squares evenly around the 1 larger square to form a bucket.
Brim: * attach preferred color) On the open side of the bucket, Work half double crochet sts into the top loop (the loop facing out of the bucket) only, working 2 half double crochets (HDC) into the same stitch every 5th st (or so). Once at BOR, chain 2, and work HDC into both loops of prior row, this round only HDC twice into same stitch every 10th sts (do this more like every 5th sts to create more ruffles). Repeat this row until desired length of brim is achieved. Cut yarn, weave in ends, and slay all day.
