LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal Core Construction Update
The pedestrian bridge is now connected above lower World Way from TBIT to the people mover West station. The rest of TB remains the same with minimal construction being observed.
Tom Bradley International Terminal Core: This will be a new 3+ level facility on the east side of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) with elevators, escalators and stairs. The TBIT Core will also include minor modifications, enhancements and additions to the existing interior spaces (restrooms, concessions, office space, etc.). Connecting to the Automated People Mover when that project completes in 2023.
LAX Modernization
Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is in the midst of a $14 billion Capital Improvement Program at LAX that's projected to last through 2028. The LAX modernization program is considered the largest public works program in the history of the City of Los Angeles.
In support of the Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP), this project will provide new Terminal Improvements at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to integrate the new Automated People Mover (APM) system with the existing Terminals.
