Recently, Donald Trump posted a message on his social media platform Truth Social announcing a major oil refinery project in the United States and mentioning Mukesh Ambani and his company Reliance Industries.

In the post, Trump said that a company called America First Refining plans to build the first new oil refinery in the United States in about 50 years. The refinery would be located in Brownsville, Texas, and would process American shale oil.

Trump also thanked “partners in India” and specifically mentioned Reliance for supporting the project. He described it as a “historic $300 billion deal” and said it would create jobs and strengthen America’s energy production.

According to reports, the refinery could process around 160,000 barrels of oil per day and construction may begin in 2026. The project would include a long-term agreement for Reliance to purchase fuel products from the refinery.

However, there has also been some uncertainty about the announcement. At the time of the news, Reliance Industries had not officially confirmed the investment, and some analysts questioned the very large $300-billion figure mentioned by Trump.

In simple terms, Trump’s post claimed that Reliance (Ambani’s company) would help invest in a huge new oil refinery project in Texas, which he presented as a major energy and economic project for the United States.
