Dog Virus Spreading in Pilots! VERY WEIRD Story #shorts

A strange but widely reported aviation incident went viral in April 2026 after two pilots were heard making animal noises—meowing like cats and barking like dogs—over an air traffic control (ATC) radio frequency. The exchange happened near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and was captured in an audio clip that quickly spread online.

According to reports, the pilots began mimicking sounds like “meow meow” and “ruff,” instead of using standard aviation communication. Another voice on the same frequency—believed to be an air traffic controller or fellow pilot—intervened and told them, “You guys need to be professional.” Rather than stopping, the pilots reportedly continued the noises for a short time, even prompting a sarcastic remark about them still flying regional jets.

The incident triggered an official response from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which confirmed it is investigating whether aviation rules were violated. Regulations clearly state that pilots must avoid “non-essential conversation” below 10,000 feet and keep all radio communication strictly related to flight safety. Misusing these channels—especially if it was the emergency “guard” frequency—can be taken seriously because it may interfere with critical messages.

What makes this more concerning is the type of channel involved. The “guard frequency” is monitored by pilots and controllers worldwide and is reserved mainly for emergencies or urgent alerts. Experts in the aviation community criticized the behavior, saying such frequencies should never be used for jokes, as even small distractions could create risks in high-traffic airspace.

At the same time, reactions have been mixed. Some aviation professionals and former controllers described the behavior as unprofessional and unacceptable, while others suggested it may have been a brief attempt at humor in a high-stress job. Still, regulators emphasized that safety and discipline must always come first, and that’s why the FAA is reviewing the case.
