Devoted Plumbing LLC dealing with Ruud Gas Valve

During the pandemic and approximately between 2019-2021 Rheem/Richmond/Ruud water heaters were sold with what is called a Delta gas valve. It is a gray gas control valve/thermostat that would operate fine for about a year, then the customer would get no hot water and they would not be able to get the pilot to relight and stay lit.
Unfortunately, this is a very common problem. Thankfully, Rheem is doing better about sending a replacement valve without expense to the homeowner.
