So what is it the flow?😎 Basically the "flow" is how you smoothly transit from one move to another through your dance. What really makes your dance juicy and fluid is the ability to connect each steps with your body.
In solo... well, I would say in any dance, any style, even just walking, every move starts from the centre of our body, Mr Core!
.
Think about simple walking, it's not only about putting a step after the other! You would go nowhere if not for the desire of our heart to move in one direction, right?
So it happens in dance. If you only think about footwork, you won't make it a continuous experience!
.
Once again, feel that your movement starts in your belly, it spreads through your body, reaches and stretches over your extremities, to finally become a dance move!
How to do that? Use your core as a command cabin directing your movement: if you manage to control your dance from your centre, then you can relax the rest of the body and the flow will come.
Well, looks easy to say, let's try put it into practice 🤪 Does it work?
