Boost FPS By 21% - Nvidia Shader Cache Size Benchmarks
Are you struggling with low FPS, stuttering, and poor performance in Borderlands 4 or other demanding PC games? In this video I test the Nvidia Shader Cache Size setting in the Nvidia Control Panel to find out if changing it from the default to 100GB really improves gaming performance.

Using an RTX 5090 at 4K max settings with DLSS Balanced, I saw Borderlands 4 jump from 71 FPS average to 77 FPS and the 1% lows improve by 21%, making gameplay much smoother. I also benchmarked Black Myth Wukong, Counter-Strike 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Fortnite, with results showing small gains or no change, averaging around a 5% FPS boost across five games. While not every game benefits, this Nvidia optimization tweak costs nothing, only takes seconds to set up, and can fix stuttering in titles like Borderlands 4.
