Albanese to ‘screw around’ with Australian smart TV legislation
Sky News host Paul Murray says the Australian government’s priority is to “screw around” with the laws that control Australian smart televisions.
“Deciding how your smart TV works,” Mr Murray said.
“Someone somewhere has lobbied the government to say the ABC, Channel Nine, Channel Seven must have greater prominence on your home menu on a smart TV.
“My view is the same as every other normal person, which is leave the damn thing alone.
“The government stepping in and saying we need to pass a law to guarantee the ABC goes first even if you don’t want to watch it … yeah that’s the priority.”
