How I keep my FIFA Career Mode saves realistic!
Those of you who don't already know recently I've been slowly uploading a realistic career mode save to this channel and in today's video I will be sharing some of my tips on how I keep my career mode realistic and hopefully help you guys if you're interested in that kind of thing. I'll try to give a brief example every single idea on this list to help show how you can implement it in your saves
Most of this wont make sense because i made the script with voice speak, but if you miss a part of the video or cant understand something, here the entire script from todays video:
Because it's a team I know a lot about, I am a Nottingham Forest fan and have been for over 20-years, I do know quite a bit more about my team than most of you will if you just picked up a random career mode save. This is quite important but is not necessary to keep a save realistic.
Every single tip in this video can be applied to either your favourite club safe a random RTG save and anywhere in between.
One of the most important parts of any career mode or any football team is of course the squad, and it's important to make sure that this is kept realistic. Of course this is mainly managed by buying and selling players. That makes this one of the most important areas for you to be strict with if you do want to keep it realistic.
I've been looking at old transfer targets looking for players with links to Nottingham Nottingham Forest or Nottinghamshire, looking at the types of clubs Forest are linked with in real life And of course putting some of my own bias in there with players that I'd like to see at the club
My first tip is around buying players. One of the easiest ways to keep this realistic is having a look on websites like whoscored.com and transfermarkt.com which list out the squad, their nationalities, the clubs they were bought from and lots more information that can be used to make sure every single signing you make is a believable and realistic one on FIFA Career Mode
if you want to keep it a bit more realistic when signing your players make sure you do fully scout a player first this will reveal that overall rating and if it looks like a player is either too good or maybe powered in a certain way then you'll be able to avoid them without having to reload a save or something a bit awkward like that.
example of buying a player that people might think is unrealistic was signing sokratis from Olympiakos. sokratis of course used to play in the Premier League but did move to Olympiakos a season or two ago. I know that Olympiakos is owner is also the same as the Nottingham Forest owner there's been a lot of transfers between these two clubs similar to the udinese and Watford in real life, So signing a player that Forest needed to strengthen in from Olympiakos was realistic
I did scout him fully and I saw that he was higher rate than everyone else in my squad but at 33 years old commer a good link via Olympiakos, and has played in England before made me think that he would be realistic the linked to forest and potentially willing to join especially if Premier League football look like it could be on the cards next season
Another area that is important to keep realistic is the Youth Academy and again this is one of the hardest things to do on career mode, because of how overpowered youth players can be. I had a homegrown Talent called carter-allen who was higher rated than my starting team strikers, and I didn't want to instantly promote him where I do have a 16 year-old leading the line for a promotion chasing team
It didn't seem realistic for a player this young to be in such an important position so I promoted him a few months into the season, I made sure to start him initially in cup games the prove that he was better than my actual strikers as this would happen in real life, and then slowly have been giving him more and more League time with 10-minutes here and 15-minutes their
