Separation of Ethanol Water mixture and Its Sensitivity Analysis Using Aspen HYSYS

In this lecture you will learn about the separation of ethanol water mixture and its sensitivity analysis with the help of Aspen HYSYS.
Problem 1: Feed: Liquid ethanol and water mixture having 40% ethanol on molar basis. Molar flowrate of feed is 100 kmol/hr and its temperature and pressure are 20 °C and 1.1 atm. NRTL is our property method.
Feed entering at stage number 5 to a distillation column. There are 10 number of stages with one total condenser and one Reboiler(103kpa) in the column. The condenser pressure is 101kPa. The reflux ratio of the column is 3.3 and distillate molar flow rate is 50 kmol/hr.
What are the composition of distillate and bottom products of the distillation column?
What are the condenser and reboiler duty, temperature and pressure?
Do sensitivity analysis and find relation between mole fraction of ethanol and feed temperature ?
