Manufacture of Sodium Carbonate by Solvay's Process

Sodium carbonate is also known as washing soda or soda ash is a sodium salt of carbonic acid. It is occurring mostly in a crystalline state called sodium carbonate decahydrate. It is also a water softener. The raw materials for the manufacturing of soda ash are limestone, sodium chloride, ammonia, and water. First of all, we will prepare a brine solution, then ammonia will absorb into the brine solution after absorption the carbon dioxide will react with ammoniacal brine and sodium bicarbonate and ammonium chloride solution will prepare. After heating the sodium bicarbonate the sodium carbonate will be produced.
