Alkanet root and indigo soap 紫草青黛皂

紫草除了是古時常用的天然染色劑外, 還可以用作外用的中藥, 以治療濕疹及各種皮膚炎症。同樣, 青黛是亦是天然染色劑亦是可以外用的中藥, 有解毒, 抗菌及止痕的功效.

當然, 紫草及青黛用於手工皂配方內, 我們不能聲稱它們有治療的功效, 但作為天然的染料, 它們會為手工皂帶來深沉的紫藍色, 而顏色的深淺會隨着浸泡油的濃度而有所不同. 我覺得這就是紫草跟青黛有趣的地方

以下是這款皂的配方:
棕櫚核仁油片15%
芒果脂15%
可可脂15%
紫草根/青黛浸泡初榨橄欖油30%
酪梨油20%
蓖麻油5%

水量2倍

椰奶 油重5%
精油(薰衣草, 檸檬及雪松) 油重5%

由於紫草及青黛都是中藥, 如果你有特殊身體狀況例如懷孕及蠶豆症等等, 建議不要外用紫草及青黛, 或向醫生尋求意見.

Here is the formula:
Palm Kernel Flakes 15%
Mango Butter 15%
Cocoa Butter 15%
Alkanet root/indigo infused extra virgin olive oil 30%
Avocado oil 20%
Castor oil 5%

Water: NaOH ratio 1:2

Coconut milk 5% of oil weight
Essential oil blend (lavender, lemon and cedarwood) 5% of oil weight

If you are pregnant or has G6PD deficiency, please be careful when you use alkanet root or indigo in soaps. Consult your doctor if necessary.
