friends we have heard many things about Section 498A of IPC, which was introduced to penalize the offences of torture and harassment, mental harassment as well as physical harassment committed to wife by her husband and family members of husband, but by the time we have seem misuse of the provisions of Section 498A of IPC, where the motive of wife is only to harass the husband and his family members by using the provision as weapon instead of using the same as shield..

in this video, we will discuss about the case, where a father of wife has been punished by Hon’ble Supreme Court for misusing the provision of Section 498A of IPC.

In this video we will discuss about a case of 498A Cr.P.C. which was lodged by the father of the wife at two different places in which the Husband acquitted in one place.
When husband approached Rajasthan High Court for quashing of second FIR, High Court dismissed the quashing petition, which was challenged in Supreme Court.
Supreme Court quashed the FIR and imposed Fine of Rs. 500000/- to the father of the wife. Supreme Court told that, Rs. 250000/- will be Paid to the husband and remaining Rs. 250000/- will be deposited in Supreme Court Legal aid.
