Story of the Case

Family Court awarded maintenance to wife of Rs. 6000/- month and Rs. 3000/- per month to both the children.
Wife challenged the family Court order before Gujarat High Court and Gujarat High Court enhanced the Maintenance amount to Rs. 100000/- per month to wife and Rs. 50000/- each to the both children.
Being aggrieved husband moved before Supreme Court and Supreme Court modified the maintenance amount granted by High Court and reduced the same to Rs. 50000/- per month to wife and Rs. 25000/- each to both the children.
Supreme Court also ordered the Husband to pay the arrears of maintenance at the rate, what High Court had granted.
