"Siruthai Siva", a famous director in Tamil film industry, is his brother.

Actor Bala will play one of his 3 siblings in Ajith's film Veeram. He is actually the younger brother of director Siruthai Siva. Bala made his debut in the Tamil film industry in the year 2003 with the film Anbu. He has also acted in Malayalam films. He married singer Amrutha in 2016. Their daughter Avantika was born in 2012.
