This is the Part 2 video for how to build a walk-in shower.

Today you'll see how to add Wedi building panels to stud framing. These bad boys make the waterproofing process SO MUCH EASIER versus using cement board.

Wedi can be cut with a utility knife or oscillating multi tool.

And each panel weighs about half that of a similar cement board unit.

Here's the deal.

If you used the Wedi Fundo Ligno shower pan it will have a dado joint in it.

Cut your Wedi building panels to size. Apply a generous bead of the Wedi joint sealant to the dado.

Embed the Wedi building panel to the dado and push it down. Joint sealant will seal this transition.

Add Wedi screws and washers 12 inches from the top of the pan. Then add screws and washers every 12 inches along vertical panels.

Apply a bead of sealant to the top of the first Wedi panel and embed the second panel on top of it. Pinch screws between the panels and spread out the excess joint sealant using a plastic putty knife.

We have all the details on how to build a walk-in shower in the video using Wedi building panels.
