A Dead Man, a Secret Code... and ‘Tamám Shud’? 🕵️‍♂️📜 Who Was He?

In 1948, a well-dressed man was found dead on Somerton Beach in Australia with no ID, no clear cause of death, and a cryptic scrap of paper in his pocket reading “Tamám Shud” (meaning "It is finished"). A copy of The Rubaiyat containing a strange code and a phone number added to the mystery. For decades, his identity remained unknown — until 2022, when DNA research suggested he was Carl Webb, a Melbourne engineer. Still, how and why he died remains unexplained.
