Silverlake to Atwater Village 4K Drive | Los Angeles Cloudy Day Driving Tour

A relaxing 4K drive through the east side of Los Angeles on a cloudy, overcast Friday afternoon, from Los Feliz through charming Silver Lake and then Atwater Village. We pass the Silver Lake Reservoir and climb some of the steepest streets in the city. Filmed with natural sound only. No music, no narration, no commentary.

The route begins on Vermont Avenue in Los Feliz and heads east into the Franklin Hills, climbing up into the lush hillside residential streets where the Gothic-style 1926 Shakespeare Bridge comes briefly into view. From there we wind through Silver Lake, pass "Little Lithuania" and cross over the Los Angeles River into Atwater Village, exploring its quiet residential streets before crossing back across the river by Frogtown and Elysian Park. We then climb above the Silver Lake Reservoir, take on Fargo Street, one of the steepest streets in the country at a 32% grade, and finish with a slow descent down Effie Street as the eastside opens up below us.
